As part of the Queenstown-based team, Reservations Agents sell and manage the hotel’s accommodation, restaurant, and activity inventory by maximizing occupancy and revenue.

Focus on the guest experience and create great first impressions by responding to accommodation and activity enquiries via email, phone, and agent website portals promptly, accurately, and professionally. Offer knowledge and insight into the hotel’s products and services, plus general area and tourist information. Utilise reservation systems daily with consistently high accuracy while handling sensitive information like confidential agent rates and credit card details with care.

Requirements

  • Previous experience working in a fast-paced reservations or call-centre environment, 6 months or more preferred
  • Confidence in using technology and data entry
  • Attention to detail and excellent time management
  • Guest focused, personable, confident, and collaborative approach
  • Ability to work with a small, motivated team as well as independently
  • Ability to quickly learn new products, services, and systems
  • Fluent in English, dual language desirable

Responsibilities

  • Sell and manage the hotel’s accommodation, restaurant, and activity inventory to maximize occupancy and revenue
  • Respond to accommodation and activity enquiries by email, phone, and agent website portals promptly, accurately, and professionally
  • Focus on the guest experience and create great first impressions
  • Offer knowledge and insight of the hotel’s products and services as well as general knowledge of the area and relevant tourist information
  • Utilise the hotel’s reservation systems daily with a consistently high level of accuracy
  • Handle sensitive information such as confidential agent rates and credit card details with care
  • Provide both guests and hotel information systems with timely and accurate data
