About this role

The Hotel General Manager is responsible for the overall leadership and management of the hotel departments. Deliver a Fun, Friendly, and Comfortable experience for all Team Members and Guests. Establish and maintain standards for a 4-star boutique hotel experience, reporting to the property General Manager.

Support, develop, and implement strategic operational and service strategies to lead in occupancy, rate, and guest satisfaction scores. Plan, control, communicate, and implement procedures for efficient operations under Maryland Gaming Commission conditions. Direct hotel departments including Front Office, Housekeeping, Food and Beverage, and Facilities.

Partner with the VP of Sales to execute sales strategy and collaborate on Contact Center operations. Liaise with Finance Division to enforce policies and controls. Lead staff in developing strategies to accomplish ownership-approved objectives.

Direct preparation of short-term and long-term business plans and budgets. Evaluate overall operations regularly and support revenue optimization for maximum financial results. Enforce Learning & Development to deliver 4-star service and ensure clear expectations for direct reports.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required; 2-year degree in hospitality, finance or management preferred
  • Five to ten years of related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination
  • Experience at a 4 or 5 star rated Hotel required
  • Ability to comply with all state gaming regulations, including obtaining a license
  • Ability to maintain visual attention and sustained mental concentration for significant periods
  • Create innovative strategic plans that are guest service-oriented
  • Analyze and interpret marketing research and financial data
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods, lift 20-30 pounds, and use stairs and elevators
