About this role

StepStone Hospitality is seeking a passionate, experienced, and dynamic General Manager to lead the team at the Connally Hotel in the downtown area. You will be responsible for the overall success of the hotel, leading daily operations and shaping strategic direction. Champion a culture that values employees and guests alike.

Manage all aspects of hotel operations including front office, housekeeping, food & beverage, maintenance, and sales. Maintain high service standards and guest satisfaction, with a focus on GSS/TripAdvisor performance. Ensure compliance with brand standards and operational policies.

Recruit, train, mentor, and lead department heads and team members. Foster a collaborative and inclusive work environment that promotes high morale and productivity. Uphold and model company and brand standards in appearance, professionalism, and behavior.

Develop and manage budgets, forecasts, and financial KPIs while monitoring revenue, expenses, and profitability. Partner with sales and marketing teams to optimize occupancy and revenue. Build strong community relationships to increase local and group bookings.

Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations, including health and safety standards. Lead emergency preparedness, risk management, and property safety initiatives. Oversee preventative maintenance programs to protect property assets.

Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years of experience as a Hotel General Manager in a branded hotel environment
  • Experience with Choice brand strongly preferred
  • Demonstrated success in guest satisfaction, team leadership, and financial performance
  • Strong operational knowledge across all hotel departments
  • Proven ability to engage and develop teams with a hands-on leadership style
  • Solid understanding of budgeting, forecasting, and P&L management
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency in hospitality management systems and tools
