About this role

Supervise maintenance operations for the hotel and assigned associates, including hiring, development, and evaluations. Ensure all projects are completed on time and according to specifications. Work closely with other departments to ensure coordination of activities.

Assist with supervision of maintenance operations, including refrigeration, heating, plumbing, water treatment, preventative maintenance, hotel rooms, A/C and heating units, ice machines, swimming pools, lighting, kitchen equipment, emergency generators, water softeners, roof exhausts, electrical substations. Perform minor and routine painting, plumbing, electrical wiring, and other related maintenance activities. Tend air conditioners, cooling towers and boilers to provide heat, cool air, and hot water for guests.

Maintain standards of quality guest service and respond to guest requests, complaints, or questions in a courteous and timely manner. Aid and instruct craftsmen in scheduling work, ordering material, and completing assignments by a specified date. Comply with an ongoing maintenance program.

Increase level of guest satisfaction by delivery of an exceptional product through employee development. Ability to accurately use various office and accounting software supports efficient operations. This role contributes to overall hotel functionality and guest experience.

Requirements

  • Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as business needs dictate
  • Previous guest service experience required
  • Experience in the engineering and maintenance or related professional area; technical training in HVAC-R/Electrical/Plumbing
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to accurately use various office and accounting software
  • Minimum lifting of 50 pounds
  • Minimum pulling of 50 pounds
  • Pushing, bending, stooping, upward reaching, manual dexterity, hearing, writing, typing
