About this role
From weddings to corporate gatherings, Banquet Servers help bring events to life. Enjoy working in a dynamic setting while creating memorable guest moments. Responsible for service of all banquets and related food and beverage operations, following procedures for handling, cleaning, and disposing while maintaining AAA Four Diamond Standards.
Serve food and beverage maintaining consistent presentation and proper temperature. Deliver items to guests and respond to inquiries in a cordial, efficient, and professional manner. Offer product knowledge, general resort information, and warm welcomes or farewells.
Interact with resort staff professionally and communicate pertinent information to the banquets team. Maintain constant awareness of safety issues and report incidents to supervisors. Ensure proper handling, cleaning, and sanitation of equipment, china, glass, and silver while following lost and found procedures.
Conduct yourself supporting guiding principles of Trust, Open & Honest Communication, and Commitment. Exemplify Sunriver Resort Culture and support the Vision and Mission to be the destination of choice. Resolve guest issues promptly with great care and deliver exceptional service to all guests.
Requirements
- Six months customer service experience preferred
- High School Education required
- Valid OLCC card
- Valid Food Handler’s card
- Ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Knowledgeable and familiar with food and beverage industry
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
Responsibilities
- Serve food and beverage while maintaining consistent presentation and proper temperature
- Deliver food and beverage items to guests
- Respond to guest inquiries in a cordial, efficient, and professional manner
- Follow Banquet Event Orders with strong attention to detail
- Upsell other resort services and amenities to guests
- Maintain proper handling, cleaning, and sanitation of equipment, china, glass, and silver
- Communicate effectively with kitchen staff expressing special needs
- Report safety incidents to on-duty supervisor
