Hotel Maintenance Engineer

The Hotel Maintenance Engineer is responsible for the overall maintenance of the hotel and grounds. They manage general and preventative maintenance functions to ensure guest service and sustainability standards are achieved. These efforts maintain high standards throughout the hotel structure.

Daily tasks include responding to guest needs related to maintenance and property condition. Engineers inspect the hotel regularly for safety standards, complete general repairs on operational equipment, and oversee building systems like refrigeration, HVAC, electrical, and plumbing. They also perform grounds work and landscaping as needed.

Work involves approaching encounters with guests and employees in a professional, personalized manner. Participate in daily briefings, meetings, and communicate with other departments to ensure quality service. Understand and execute hotel emergency procedures while working as part of a team.

Maintain regular attendance, a professional image, and positive attitude per hotel standards. Provide feedback during training and assist with training to enhance job performance. Organize repairs without disturbing guests and find ways to reduce operating costs and conserve energy.
