About this role
The General Manager oversees daily operations of the restaurant, ensuring smooth and efficient business performance. They manage and develop employee teams, maintain high customer service levels, ensure food safety compliance, and achieve financial and operational targets.
Day-to-day duties include overseeing scheduling, food ordering, inventory management, payroll, and staffing levels based on sales volumes. Managers handle opening and closing procedures, conduct daily walk-throughs, complete Wendy’s Critical Checklists, and perform weekly inventory counts.
Team leadership involves hiring, training via WKS+ and WeLearn systems, performance reviews, coaching, and enforcing uniform standards. Demonstrate commitment to WKS Values: Integrity, Loyalty, Winning, Service, and Teamwork in a fast-paced environment requiring physical activity like standing, lifting, and using technology.
Financial management covers budgeting, forecasting, P&L analysis using WKSConnect, and meeting sales/profit goals. Resolve customer issues professionally with BLAST and No Fault Policy, ensure regulatory compliance, and report concerns to District Leader and HR promptly.
Requirements
- Ability to perform physical activities: reaching, bending, stooping, standing, lifting, pushing/pulling
- Knowledge of Wendy’s Critical Checklists, food safety audits, and Health Department standards
- Familiarity with company tools: WKS+, WeLearn, WKSConnect, TrueView for assessments
- Understanding of P&L statements and financial reporting
- Commitment to WKS Values: Integrity, Loyalty, Winning, Service, Teamwork
- Experience enforcing uniform, grooming, and workplace conduct policies
- Ability to cover workstations and assist during breaks
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage a team of employees by hiring, training, motivating, and developing staff
- Conduct onboarding in WKS+ and WeLearn, and performance reviews with coaching
- Oversee restaurant operations including scheduling, food ordering, inventory management, and payroll
- Ensure compliance with daily walk-throughs, Wendy’s Critical Checklists, and food safety standards
- Maintain customer service metrics: Friendliness, Accuracy, Cleanliness, Speed, and Taste
- Manage finances including budgeting, forecasting, P&L analysis via WKSConnect
- Resolve customer issues using BLAST and No Fault Policy
- Ensure compliance with local, state, federal laws and report harassment or violations
