About this role

As a Food and Beverage Attendant at Ansty Golf Club, you will provide excellent customer service in the clubhouse, bar, and dining areas. Your role includes taking orders, serving food and drinks, handling payments, and ensuring a welcoming atmosphere for members and guests. You'll maintain high service standards in a golf club setting.

You’ll work closely with the kitchen and events team to deliver prompt service while keeping areas clean and well-stocked. Responsibilities cover order management, food and drink service, bar duties, and payment handling using POS systems. Event assistance and stock control ensure seamless operations during functions and tournaments.

In this front of house role, collaborate effectively with bar, kitchen, and event teams for smooth service. Adhere to food safety, hygiene, and health regulations in a fast-paced hospitality environment. The position supports Get Golfing CIO's mission to promote sports facilities and local communities.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in hospitality, food service, or a similar customer-facing role
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a friendly, professional attitude
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high service standards
  • Basic knowledge of food and beverage service, including handling alcoholic drinks responsibly
  • Ability to handle cash/card transactions accurately using a POS system
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Previous experience in a golf club, hotel, or similar hospitality environment
  • Food Safety Level 1 or 2 certification or willingness to obtain

Responsibilities

  • Deliver exceptional customer service, ensuring a welcoming and enjoyable atmosphere for all guests
  • Take and process food and beverage orders accurately, ensuring prompt and efficient service
  • Serve meals and beverages to guests, maintaining high presentation and service standards
  • Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks responsibly, following licensing regulations
  • Process transactions accurately using POS systems, handling cash and card payments securely
  • Maintain cleanliness of dining, bar, and service areas, ensuring compliance with health and safety standards
  • Support the setup, service, and breakdown of club events, functions, and tournaments
  • Monitor inventory levels, restock supplies, and report shortages to management
