About this role

As a Server at The Golf Club at Newcastle, you will serve guests in a friendly, sincere manner and interact with them to ensure an outstanding experience every time. Take food and beverage orders from guests and enter them into the point-of-sale system. Deliver food and beverages from kitchen and bar to guests in a timely manner.

Initiate contact with guests within 15 feet with a sincere welcome and willingness to assist. At the conclusion of the guest’s visit, offer a genuine thank you and invitation to return. Monitor and observe guests' dining experience, ensuring satisfaction with food and service while responding promptly to requests.

Maintain effective communication with guests and fellow team members in a fast-paced environment. Uphold a clean and orderly appearance in uniform at shift start. Work well under pressure, balancing multiple priorities, and assist in keeping the environment clean by picking up trash and eliminating clutter.

Upsell at every opportunity by informing guests of specials and personal recommendations. Maintain good working knowledge of hours of operation, wine, menu ingredients, and preparation methods. Requirements

Able to work well under pressure and balance multiple priorities and assignments
Adaptable to change, flexible, and empathetic
Highly customer oriented and responsive
Comfortable working in a fast paced environment where continuous improvement is expected
Possess a Food Handler’s Card
Possess a Class 12 MAST Card
Must be 21 years or older
Ability to lift 50 pounds occasionally and stand on feet for lengthy periods

Responsibilities

Take food and beverage orders from guests and enter into the point-of-sale system

Proficiently execute server sequence of service
Deliver food and beverages from kitchen and bar to guests in a timely manner
Monitor and observe guests' dining experience and respond promptly to any requests
Perform side work at the start and end of each shift as required
Prepare final bill and upsell specials and personal recommendations
Maintain knowledge of menu, wine, hours of operation, and assist in clean environment
